Dear Parents:
To access the Think Central platform at home (in order to access Go Math), please ensure you are following the steps below. This is a new way to log in for 2017-18 so any previous bookmarks you have saved from past years will no longer work. Students should go through this in class first with their teacher before attempting on their own at home. It is recommended to use Google Chrome as the browser, but it is not imperative.
Step 1: Students MUST be signed into their SCS Mustangs Google Account. This is the most important step as it will not work if the student is in any other Google account or not logged in.
Step 2: Once signed into the SCSmustangs.org Google account, go to Strongsville City Schools home page: https://www.strongnet.org
Step 3: Under the “FOR STUDENTS” tab, have the student click on:
“INSTRUCTIONAL SOFTWARE LAUNCHING SITE”
Step 4: Have the student click on the third link down, which is “Go Math- Think Central”.
Step 5: Student may be prompted to select their Google account and/or re-enter their password. If everything is correct, it will take them directly into Think Central/ Go Math!
Step 6: If you get an error message See back of sheet for how to clear the cache/history.
Troubleshooting Tip:
If you are trying to log into the Think Central/Go Math from a home or library computer and you get an error message saying the system is not available, you may need to CLEAR the BROWSER HISTORY in GOOGLE. Remember, you MUST be logged into the student’s SCS Mustangs Google account for this to properly link and log in.
Directions for how to clear the cache in Google:
1) In Google Chrome (the internet), while logged in, you see the three small vertical dots on the top right hand side. Click those, select HISTORY, then HISTORY again- the top item in the list.
2) Once you do that, on the left hand side of the new screen you will see "Clear browsing data". Click on that.
3. From the options that appear, select the first 4 boxes and click the "CLEAR BROWSING DATA" blue button.
4. Exit out of the history and you are all set!
5. If you are still experiencing problems, please let your child’s teacher know.
